Florida is a Member of the Counseling Compact

The Counseling Compact is an interstate compact, or a contract among states, allowing professional counselors licensed and residing in a compact member state to practice in other compact member states without the need for multiple licenses.

During the 2022 Legislative Session, House Bill 1521 passed into law, making Florida the 8th state to enact the Interstate Counseling Compact. Member states have nominated their commission delegates and the commission will officially convene for its first meeting in October 2022 to draft the rules and bylaws of the compact.
