An intern registration cannot be renewed. Effective July 1, 2016, House Bill 373, and companion Senate Bill 12, were passed into law, limiting intern registration to 5 years. A subsequent intern registration may not be issued unless the candidate has passed the theory and practice examination for licensure.

There are no continuing education requirements for registered interns
